Job Description
 Lancaster University’s Student Registry are looking for a graduate intern to assist with developing ‘standard operating procedures’, to guide staff and ensure that their functions run smoothly. This is a great opportunity to gain experience of managing a project, and to make a valuable contribution to a University department.
 
This internship is part of the Graduate Jobs Programme, which aims to provide valuable work experience and skills to recent graduates, to help kick-start your career! This opportunity is open only to graduates of Lancaster University who completed their undergraduate degree in 2018.

Pay rate: £19,202 pro rata (£10.08 per hour + £1.22 holiday pay = £11.30 per hour)
Working Pattern: Full time
Placement length: 8-12 weeks


Your work on this project will involve:

  • Working with team leaders within Student Registry to review and update Visio Process Map diagrams.
  • Creating Standard Operational Plans to document processes.
  • Publishing Standard Operational Plans on an intranet site.
  • Developing and implementing a communications plan.
  • Reviewing and updating the Registry function calendar.
  • Collaborating with the Head of Assessment and Awards.

The ideal output of this project would be the publication of standard operating procedures on internal web pages, and an updated function calendar.

  • IT skills, including the use of Microsoft packages and Visio
  • Project management experience
  • Experience of designing documentation
  • Experience of teamwork and collaborative work
  • Experience of developing a communication plan
