What we’re looking for
Lancaster University is looking for a number of content creators to help showcase the stories they want to tell about our University whilst representing University values and key messages.
We’re looking to work with the best creative, skilled digital content creators at Lancaster University to add to our growing Digital Content Ambassador Team.
The content produced will be posted on the selected university channels (96,000 Facebook followers, 16,000 Instagram and 53,000 on twitter). All the content you produce will be credited to you and can be linked to your own channels if you choose. Applicants must be current Lancaster University students
Does this sound like you?
Candidates should have experience creating digital content for YouTube, Instagram, and other social media platforms.
You’ll be adding to a bank of quality digital content including vlogs, YouTube shows, web content, photography, videography, gifs, podcasts and more.  You will have experience in all stages of content creation from research and concept creation, development, planning, and scheduling through to content capturing, editing and distribution.
We are particularly keen to employ students with experience in video content creation including vlogging and videography but are open to applications from content creators of all types.
How you’ll work
You will work approx. 30 hours per term on a project-by-project basis. Projects will be agreed ahead of time and progress shared at regular meetings. You may be asked to work on certain projects as part of our digital content ambassador team.

  • Year of study
  • Experience of content creation
  • What content you would produce for one or more of the Lancaster University channels on the topic “Lancaster is the place for me”

We would like to see some of your content style in your application and this might come across in the way you shoot, edit or tell a story. Please include a covering letter and CV with your application via ERS as usual in addition to your video application.
