We are now recruiting for our 2026-2027 Student Ambassador Leaders (SAL) and are inviting all FHASS Students, both UG and PG, to apply!
Job Title: FHASS Student Ambassador Leader
Salary: £13.21 plus £1.59 holiday pay (£14.80 per hour)
Department: Faculty of Humanities Arts and Social Sciences
Directly responsible to: FHASS Events Team, Student Staff Manager
Start Date: December 2026
End Date: 30 October 2027
Interview: Individual Interviews are anticipated to be between 04 - 05 November 2026
Location: You will be based predominantly on campus

In this exciting opportunity of joining our Student Ambassador Leader team, you’ll build on the responsibilities of a traditional Student Ambassador and take on a pivotal role of leading ambassador teams at events; Offer Holder Events in particular.
You will represent your discipline and the University, engage with prospective students, and be a vital part of building our ambassador community. In addition to the usual Student Ambassador activities, your responsibilities will also include supervising ambassadors during shifts, providing administrative support for the FHASS Events Team and occasionally disciplines and playing a key role in leading teams of ambassadors at student recruitment events on campus. You will also the opportunity to become a Unibuddy ambassador where you will talk to prospective students online about Lancaster University and your course.

This role is open to all students studying a course within the Faculty of Humanities, Arts and Social Sciences. You don’t need to have been a Student Ambassador prior to this, but it is desirable
You must also be available to work at least 3 out of the 4 Offer Holder Events and at least 3 out of the 4 Undergraduate Open Day Events on the following dates*:
Saturday 27 February 2027
Saturday 26 June 2027
Saturday 11 September 2027
*We will try our best to allocate you to your preferred dates, but this may not be possible due to availability. Please note that the dates for Open Days may change.
For any dates not in term time, we are able to book trains on your behalf and provide accommodation when travelling from a considerable distance and you have informed us with notice. **
**Accommodation and travel are on a first-come, first-served basis and is only available for those travelling a considerable distance within the UK and within a set cost.
