We are a small family business that teaches online Spanish to adults in the UK of various levels and ages. We have a good working relationship with our pupils and tutors and are helpful and encouraging at all times.

Working Pattern: Flexible

Job Description

You will teach between 1 and 10 one hour classes per week to mini-groups of 2 to 4 pupils via ZOOM and using our own tailor-made teaching platform. Your pupils will be adults of various ages and classes could range from absolute beginner [A0] to Advanced [B2].

Lessons could take place between 8 am to 8 pm established according to your availability. That is, we will find time slots that are convenient to both you and our pupils.

Person Specification

We are looking for a student who is passionate about teaching Spanish as a Foreign Language to English adults.

You should:

  • Be 19 years old or over.
  • Have a valid UK Right-to-Work. 
  • Be a Native Spanish Speaker [L1=Spanish] or if not, you must be able to demonstrate a high level of spoken Spanish, DELE C2 following the Common European Framework. In addition, we expect you to have a good level of English [B2 or higher].
  • Have a good understanding of Spanish Grammar and be able to explain concepts in a simple way and without the excessive use of English.
  • A good communicator who is motivated by the idea of engaging with pupils in Spanish, whatever their level, whether basic or advanced. This means being able to adjust your spoken Spanish [vocalisation, pronunciation, word speed, grammar structure and verb tenses] to suit the level of the learner.
  •  Be friendly, patient and encouraging at all times.
  • Be in possession of a functioning Laptop with camera and have access to quality WI-FI in private accommodation where you can give classes without interference.
  • Be prepared to learn as you go and receive constructive feedback.
