Role & Department Overview

As part of the Records team, this role holder will have responsibility for administration relating to the implementation of updated systems and processes in relation to student records work. In the first instance this time limited role will support administration across the following areas: 

1. Process automation of existing and updated processes
2. Student-Facing Support with key records activities
3. Updating of digital content 

Open to PG students and non students only. 
 
Preferred Start Date: 27th July 2026
Expected End Date: 16th October 2026
Working Hours: 36.5 Hours per week

Job Description

Major Duties:
 
Working constructively and collaboratively with colleagues in central services, faculties and academic departments at Bailrigg to:
  • Create and automate online forms and processes to ensure they adhere to Records and departmental requirements
  • Provide data analysis to inform delivery planning
  • Respond to student queries and correct records where required.
  • Coordinate the creation of ASK and online content for key processes.
 
  • Provide ongoing support to colleagues across Education Services, within SES, faculties and academic departments in their management of administration processes for programmes leading to LU awards
  • Work to ensure student records remain accurate at all times to inform internal and external data reporting and returns
  • Contribute to the development, testing and implementation of updates to the student records system(s)
  • Contribute as required to the wider work of the Student and Education Services Division, particularly during periods of peak activity including, but not limited to, registration, assessment periods, exam boards and graduation which may on occasion require out of hours and/or weekend work
  • Maintain a high level of awareness of sector practice and developments, proactively engaging with relevant professional networks
  • Any other reasonable duties and responsibilities, commensurate with the grade of the post, as determined by the line manager

Person Specification

  • Educated to degree level or equivalent relevant work experience
 
Essential
  • Recent experience of working with complex records systems.
  • Recent experience of using Power Automate
  • Experience of working with programme administration regulations, policies, and procedures within a higher education context
  • Demonstrable ability to work effectively and collaboratively with a range of colleagues internally and at partner organisations, taking due account of differing contexts
  • Experience of gathering, analysing and interpreting multiple and complex data sets to inform next steps
  • Highly developed communication skills - with the ability to adapt communications to different audiences
  • Ability to work flexibly, managing competing demands and conflicting deadlines
 
 Desirable
  • Experience of the use and monitoring of service level agreements and standard operating procedures within an organisation
