Role & Department Overview

Walked Survey Operative role sits within the Operations department of Gaist Solutions Ltd.

Due to the nature of this role being physically active for long periods of time we cover reasonable costs for drinks and snacks during the day.  We also cover the cost for appropriate walking footwear. We will go in to more detail around these during interviews.

Working Hours: Available to work flexibly over 7 days due to the nature of the role being weather dependant. Primarily the role is Monday – Friday 08:00 – 17:00.

Location: Lancashire (field work)

Job Description

The role is responsible for collecting imagery using a 360 and chest mounted go pro cameras of local authority’s footway networks.

It involves walking the urban, rural and remote footways on a local authority network using digital mapping tools.

Person Specification

  • Full clean driving licence (12 months minimum)
  • IT literate
  • Experience working with mapping tools is desirable but not required as full training is provided.
  • Physically able to walk long distances across multiple days (budget is provided for appropriate footwear).
