Role & Department Overview

To support the Digital Adoption team to provide engaging video content for departments for departmental information pages in Moodle. This work will include the planning, recording, production of high-quality accessible video content, working collaboratively with internal departments from initial brief to final video, ensuring accessibility compliance.
 
This is NOT a student role.
 

Pay Rate: £17.33 per hour plus £2.09 holiday pay

Job Description

To plan, record, produce and publish high‑quality, accessible video content, such as Welcome videos, for the University departmental information pages. To work collaboratively with internal departments and stakeholders to deliver projects from initial briefing through to final approved outputs. 

Plan and deliver video projects from initial brief through to final, approved outputs. 
Liaise with departments to define requirements, organise recordings and manage schedules. 
Brief and support presenters to ensure effective, accessible on‑camera delivery. 
Record video and audio using appropriate equipment and techniques. 
Edit video content to a professional standard, including captions and transcripts. 
Ensure all outputs meet accessibility standards and organisational guidelines.  

Person Specification

Experience producing video content end‑to‑end (planning, filming, editing). 
Strong video editing skills (e.g. Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve or equivalent). 
Experience working with non‑technical stakeholders or presenters. 
Understanding of accessibility requirements for video content. 
Strong organisational and communication skills. 
Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks. 
Experience publishing video content on websites or virtual learning environments (Desirable).
