The Dukes are Lancashire’s only producing Theatre and Lancaster’s longest running cinema. Our three main pillars are Theatre, Cinema & Community due to our diverse theatre programme, arthouse cinema and engagement in the local community.

The candidate that is chosen for this position will spend most of their time in the Marketing Department but will also have the opportunity to work within the Programming Department. They will be expected to help with design work, copy writing, social media presence and event planning.

Pay Rate: £12.21 per hour plus £1.47 holiday pay

Working Hours / Pattern: 70 hours in total. 10am – 2pm 3 days a week, The Dukes are flexible on working days as long as 8 hours a week is being completed.

Job Description

  • Creating Assets to be used in campaigns
  • Designing Print for our Front of House
  • Assisting with admin tasks in our Cinema and Programming Department
  • Having an input in assembling campaigns and identifying key audiences we wish to target
  • Content Creation documenting activity in the building
  • Ensuring the Dukes brand voice is heard in the work produced

Person Specification

  • Essential:
  • Passion for creating engaging work
  • Understanding of social media trends
  • Experience of project management
  • Comfortable with designing files on Canva
  • Content creation
  • Collaborative attitude to team work
  • Preferred:
  • Understanding/Experience of using Adobe
  • Previous experience analysing data to inform a decision process
  • Passion for Theatre and/or Cinema
