The Opportunity: The IT Partnering and Innovation (ITPI) team in Information Systems Services (ISS) is seeking a motivated Junior QA Tester to contribute to the quality assurance of our software systems.

Job Description

As a Junior QA Tester, your main responsibilities will include:

  • Assisting in the creation of test plans to evaluate software functionality, performance and reliability.

  • Executing test plans to identify and document software bugs, ensuring accurate and detailed descriptions for effective resolution.

  • Collaborating with the development team to address identified issues and track their progress.

  • Participating in the improvement of quality assurance processes and documentation.

Person Specification

To excel in this role, the ideal candidate should possess the following qualifications and attributes:
 
  • A keen eye for detail and strong analytical skills, enabling the creation of comprehensive test plans and accurate bug reporting.
  • Basic understanding of software quality assurance methodologies and best practices.
  • Familiarity with software testing concepts and procedures.
  • Good communication and teamwork abilities, enabling effective collaboration with colleagues.
  • Demonstrated ability to work efficiently and communicate effectively within a team, both written and verbal.

  • Previous professional experience in quality assurance is not mandatory, but an interest in the field is desirable.
