Be part of the team delivering the biggest event on campus! Supporting the successful delivery of the Roses Intervarsity Competition through event set up, staffing key event operational roles like bag drop and merch sales.

Pay Rate: £12.21 per hour plus £1.47 holiday pay

Start Date: 27th April 2026

End Date: 10th May 2026

Interview Date: 10th March 2026

Job Description

  • Making sure the event runs smoothly, efficiently and assist with any urgent occurrences.
  • Supporting event setup and decoration.
  • Staffing key event operations like bag drop and merchandise sales
  • Litter picking and site clearance.
  • Welcoming guests and deal with queries.
  • Collaborate with other team members.
  • Assist in the delivery of a safe event in line with health and safety policies
  • Staff various events functions

Person Specification

  • Good communication – confident, friendly and articulate speaker / listener 
  • Positive attitude – Friendly, upbeat, enthusiastic and approachable
  • Ability to work on individual basis and as part of a team
  • Ability to follow instructions and pay attention to detail
  • Good organisational, time management skills, and problem-solving abilities
  • Experience in setting up and using either PA equipment or lighting equipment.
  • Good working knowledge of the Students’ Union and the University
