Feather Tree Arts are developing a brand-new format of social entertainment, merging artificial reality, game engines and social media with traditional community storytelling.  They aim to use this format to explore ideas of diversity and mental health, to help everyone learn alongside characters.

With their government-funded prototype ready for launch, crowd funding and social comms strategies defined, and their first performance ready to go (with more performances planned), they are entering an exciting new phase of their business development plan – and they want you to be part of their journey as they plan more productions and grow their offering.

As a Business Development Officer intern, you’ll play a key role in:

 ● Building our creative business network.

 ● Developing storytelling collaborators.

 ● Funding applications and strategy.

Working Hours / Pattern: 70 hours in total, hours by agreement between the successful candidate and Feather Tree Arts.

Job Description

With Feather Tree Arts support, you will:

● Research; stats, investors, awards programmes, grants, production collaborators.

● Create and develop our LinkedIn profile and audience.

● Initiate and input into grant applications.

● Network with creative industries professionals.

● Schedule and attend meetings (with new contacts and members of the management board), and following up outcomes.

Person Specification

  • Familiar with Discord or ability to learn quickly.
  •  Experience or interest in developing networks and carrying out research in the creative industries.
  •  An understanding of what it takes to grow a LinkedIn profile or company page from 0 to >2,000 followers using organic tactics (no paid ads), and the willingness and skills to try different strategies and learn as you go.
  •  Cold outreach experience or understanding and knowledge.
  •  Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to connect with diverse groups.
  •  Already developing their own creative network.
  •  Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  •  Managing tasks independently and keeping activities running smoothly.
  •  Comfortable working with an international team to develop ideas and plans.
