An exciting opportunity has arisen in Sports and Exercise Science to join our team of Student Ambassadors. You will be actively involved in our undergraduate student recruitment and outreach activities throughout the academic year (including the possibility to work during vacation periods).
 
We are keen to recruit a diverse team of Student Ambassadors to support our engagement efforts, including students from the UK and around the world.

Job Description

To represent Sports and Exercise Science during the academic year 2025-26. You will assist in the running of the activities and events highlighted below:

  • To support the delivery of student recruitment and conversion activities for Sports and Exercise Science. This includes both in-person and digital activity.
  • Represent Sports and Exercise Science as a Student Ambassador, acting as a positive role model at Open Days, Offer Holder Event and other recruitment and admissions events, as required.
  • Share positive experiences of your degree and enthusiasm for Lancaster University.
  • Provide a friendly and approachable welcome at events for prospective students and their guests.
  • Confidently talk about life at Lancaster University and in Sports and Exercise Science
  • Any other appropriate tasks as directed by your hiring manager.

Person Specification

The successful candidate should be able to demonstrate the following:
 
  • You must be a current student registered on an undergraduate Sports and Exercise Science programme.
  • Enthusiastic attitude about your studies and Lancaster University.
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills and the confidence to talk to prospective students and their families/supporters.
  • A friendly approach to dealing with prospective students and their families
  • Good knowledge of your degree scheme and Lancaster University, including the campus, facilities and student community.
  • Reliable and punctual with a flexible approach to work.
  • Ability to remain calm under pressure and work to defined schedules.
