Anti Racist Cumbria are scoping a piece of research around racial trauma experienced by NHS staff. This will be conducted by Anti Racist Cumbria in partnership with a Faculty of Humanities, Arts & Social Sciences, Lancaster University, academic, and possibly in collaboration with a union.  Anti Racist Cumbria need support with some preliminary research to support them in the early stages.

We encourage Black and Brown students to apply for the role and it is important that the successful candidate can demonstrate their understanding of racism and anti-racism.

Working Hours / Pattern: 70 hours in total, hours by agreement between the successful candidate and Anti Racist Cumbria.

Location: Remote / Campus (in the UK) (Anti Racist Cumbria are able to meet on campus at Lancaster University)

Job Description

  • Duties may include:
  • Conducting a mapping exercise of healthcare unions and their track record on racism and anti-racism
  • Writing a literary review of existing research on racial trauma and / or racism experienced by NHS staff
