Role & Department Overview

The Opportunity

We are searching for a new AI Creative Technologist, to play a key role in an innovative art and research project. The main purpose of this role is to support the development of new video-immersive works by training and adapting machine learning models, working closely with artists and researchers. The successful candidate will be confident with machine learning frameworks such as PyTorch and comfortable moving between creative experimentation and technical problem-solving.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who wants to apply their technical skills in a creative, interdisciplinary context.

  • Prepare and manage datasets (image curation, resizing, cleaning, labelling) for model training.
  • Explore and document approaches to latent space navigation and video generation.
  • Produce clear, reproducible workflows and lightweight documentation to support ongoing use of the models by non-technical collaborators.
  • Work with colleagues to experiment, test, and refine outputs, contributing ideas and solutions.
  • Maintain high levels of professional conduct, including clear communication with both technical and non-technical collaborators.

  • Understanding of video editing or creative coding environments.

Skills you will develop in this role:

  • Interdisciplinary collaboration between art and AI.
  • Advanced experience with GAN training, latent space exploration, and generative workflows.
  • Problem-solving and adaptability in research-based contexts.
  • Communicating complex technical work to a creative audience.

Please note:

  • This role is open to individuals based in the UK.
