Testimonial from a previous accommodation ambassador:

Being a student accommodation ambassador for Lancaster University was one of the best opportunities I had last year. Firstly, the application process was extremely easy and straightforward, and it didn't take the recruitment team long to reply.

Furthermore, what I liked most was the flexibility the job gave me. I could choose when, how often and what time slots fitted me best to avoid conflicts with my studies and personal time, I was able to help future students get a sense of what university life in accommodation looks like and answer any questions they had. I would inform them on all aspects I would want to hear about as an incoming student and ensured they left with no questions.

I really enjoyed my time on shifts as it was not stressful, rather I viewed it as me explaining to peers what university accommodation can be like. Time management skills and a friendly smile are all you need!
