Are you a LUMS student who loves telling stories through social media?  


Lancaster University Management School (LUMS) is looking for undergraduate and postgraduate students to become our Student Content Creators for the 2025/26 academic year. This is your chance to share your unique perspective on student life, get paid for your creativity, and build your content creation experience.

Build your experience and portfolio: Create content that will be published on the official LUMS social media channels, credited to you however you prefer (for example, with tags or Instagram’s collaborator feature).

Mentorship and development: Receive support, feedback, and advice from the LUMS marketing team to hone your content creation skills.

Flexibility: You decide your work schedule. As long as you meet the agreed deadlines, you can create content at times that suit you, taking breaks for exams and coursework.

Job Description

As a Student Content Creator, you'll work up to 20 hours per term (approx. 60 hours total) on a project-by-project basis. Your main role is to produce engaging, authentic content that shows what it's really like to be a LUMS student. 
 

You will:
 
Pitch your own ideas for content you're excited to make.
Create content guided by creative briefs for projects like: 
 
  • A day-in-the-life of a LUMS student. 
  • Showcasing a student society.
  • Photo carousels of study spots on campus.
  • "Street-style" interviews with fellow students.
  • Highlight reels from careers fairs and events.
Showcase your academic subject: We need creators from every LUMS department: Accounting and Finance, Economics, Entrepreneurship and Strategy, Management Science, Marketing, and Organisation, Work and Technology. 

Person Specification

Does this sound like you?
 
  • You have experience creating engaging digital content for platforms like TikTok, Instagram, or YouTube.
  • You are skilled in the whole creative process: from brainstorming and planning to filming, editing, and storytelling.
  • You have a portfolio, social media account or channel with examples of your work that you can share.
  • You are (or will be) a registered LUMS undergraduate or postgraduate student for the 2025/26 academic year, based at our Bailrigg campus.
