Do you have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and an interest in working with students, providing signposting and information, both in person and online?
Are you interested in enhancing the employability prospects of students by helping them to access appointment bookings, careers information, our extensive resources, and job opportunities? If so, our Careers Ambassador role is a fantastic way for you to contribute to students’ future success, whilst developing your own skills and experience.
We are recruiting four current Lancaster University students, from all levels of study and degree subjects, to raise awareness and enhance student engagement with the Careers and Employability service. As our brand ambassador, you will promote the service through faculties, societies, and events.
This is a part-time, flexible, on-campus role, designed to fit around your study commitments. Some weekend work will be required.
The role will commence in October 2025 but we are aiming to hold the training in advance of this. There is no guarantee of hours, but we anticipate that you will work around 5 hours per week, primarily during term-time, although some out of term work may be available.
Comprehensive initial training, covering advising skills and core employability topics will be provided along with ongoing development opportunities and training. This role is open to current Lancaster students only.
Preferred start date: 29th of September 2025
Expected end date: 19th of December 2025
Weekly hours: Approximately 5 hours per week
Location: On the Lancaster University campus
