As part of the GROW micro internship scheme, the student recruitment team is running a project that is focused on researching why students from the East Midlands choose Lancaster University but also any barriers they might have faced too. 
 
The student recruitment team work with schools and colleges across the UK, promoting Lancaster University. 
 
The focus group will take place Thursday 15th May 11.30-12.30 on campus
 
Preferred start date: 15th of May 2025
 
Expected end date: 15th of May 2025
 
Hours: 1 hour
 
Location: On the Lancaster University campus

Job Description

Role description:
 
We are looking for students from a across the East Midlands to take park in a 1 hour long focus group to help our research project. This project in particular, will explore any factors that might deter students from applying to Lancaster and any barriers that these students may face, be that widening participation criteria or other barriers. 
 
The focus group will take place Thursday 15th May 11.30-12.30 on campus

Person Specification

The successful candidates should be able to demonstrate the following:
 
  • We are looking for students from East Midlands postcodes (LN, NG LE, DE, NN.) to take part in a one hour focus group. 
  •  Students will need to have good verbal communication skills and be open to discussing their experiences
