Creative Studio is looking to recruit staff to assist with the setup of Photography at our July Graduation Ceremonies.
 
Roles will include:
 
  • Sales assistant 
  • Studio admin
  • Ushers
There will also be the optional work for you to assist with tasks pre and post event.
 
  • Pre-Event Frame packing
  • Post event packing and postage
Note: To apply you must be able to work all days between the 14th & 18th of July 2025 and attend a training and set-up session on 13th of July without exception 
 
Preferred start date: 7 July 2025
Expected end date: 15 August 2025
Interview date: TBC
Location: On the Lancaster University campus
Working Pattern: Vary - 8am start-time, with finish times in line with event's finish times [approx. BTW. 6pm & 8pm
 
You may be asked to help with pre-graduation set-up and post processing, hence the the start and end date of this job.

Job Description

Main Responsibilities:
 
  • Welcoming guests, providing helpful directions and acting as a host within the LICA building.
  • Politely answering general enquiries
  • Supporting the gowning room (s): ensuring that robes, hats and hoods are straight and well-presented and ready for professional photographs to be taken.
  • Helping to store, set up and dismantle photography studio equipment.
  • Supporting the photography sales team, operating the till, and guiding customers through the sales process / photography options to buy and order on the day.
  • Supporting the photographers through admin ensuring accuracy throughout the process.
  • Any other tasks as directed by a manger to ensure smooth delivery of the Graduation Ceremony Photography Service.

Person Specification

The Successful Candidate should:
 
  • Be hardworking, friendly and reliable.

  • Have excellent teamwork skills, with an ability to work independently.
  • Be able to work full-time for the entire event, 13th-18th July 2025 between 8am-7pm each day without exception.
  • Must be able to attend a training session (dates T.B.C).
  • Have knowledge of Lancaster University Campus (desirable).
  • Have previous cash handling/ retail sales experience (highly desirable).
