About the Role
As a Student Ambassador, you will have the exciting opportunity to represent our institution, engage with prospective students, and be a vital part of our Ambassador community. Your responsibilities will include sharing your personal experiences, leading campus tours, participating in events, and providing valuable insights to prospective students and guests. This role is perfect for enthusiastic and motivated students who are passionate about Lancaster University and eager to inspire others. If you're looking to enhance your leadership skills, build meaningful connections, and leave a lasting impact, apply now to become a Student Ambassador!
You will be joining the External Relations (ER) Events team, who lead activities such as the Open Day events, Offer Holder Events, International Student Arrivals, Campus Tours and online outreach activities. There are also opportunities to work with other departments across the University on an ad-hoc basis.
This role is open to all students, and we would encourage First Years and anyone planning to stay at Lancaster for postgraduate study to apply. Full training in all aspects of the role will be provided.
Successful candidates must be available to attend the training day in June (Date and time TBC, but it will be a full day).
They must also be available to work 3 out of 4 of our 2025 Undergraduate Open Days:
- Saturday 28th June 2025
- Saturday 12th July 2025
- Saturday 13th September 2025
- Saturday 11th October 2025
Those carrying on in their studies in the 2025-26 academic year will be able to continue in the role, but must be available to work a proportion of the Undergraduate Offer Holder Events that are held on Saturdays throughout February, March and April 2026*.
*We will try our best to allocate you to your preferred dates, however, this may not be possible due to availability. For any dates not in term time, we can cover travel to Lancaster from any location on UK mainland when needed.
