Lancaster Medical School Delivery driver for the clinical exams.

We are looking to recruit two reliable and experienced drivers, to deliver and collect confidential materials for our clinical examinations (Objective Structured Clinical Exams -OSCEs) which take place across Lancashire and South Cumbria currently including hospitals in Blackpool, Barrow, Morecambe and Burnley and possibly other venues depending on business need.

A hire car is provided. Drivers must have a clean driving licence, and will be required to complete University online manual handling training, if not already completed.

Materials to be transported between Lancaster Medical School and our clinical exam venues include confidential exam material and electronic devices, clinical equipment and manikins. Drivers may be required to deliver to more than one venue within a day.

Pay Rate: £13.67 per hour plus £1.65 holiday pay
Start Date: 2nd June 2025
End Date: 11th August 2025
Working Pattern: Variable
Location: On the Lancaster University campus and at the premises of an external employer

Job Description

  • Delivery of exams materials collected from the medical school to the designated places
  • Ensure the materials get there in good time and in a good condition
  • Collection of the exam materials from the venues and delivered back to the medical school
