Flexible, Part-Time Role (Up to 15 Hours) 

Are you passionate about shaping the future of employability support at Lancaster? We're looking for 8 enthusiastic Peer Researchers to help us develop exciting new employability modules for students in the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences, launching in September 2026!

Location:  Lancaster University campus and some remote work 
Working Pattern / Hours per week:  Up to 15 hours as per the Job Description.

Job Description

What You'll Be Doing: 

  • Training & Collaboration – Attend a paid training session with academic and employability staff on 6th May (10 AM – 1 PM) to prepare for your role. Please only apply if you will be available to attend this session. 
  • Gathering student insights – Speak with fellow students to understand their needs and opinions on the proposals. 
     
    Leading research & focus groups – Engage with peers, conduct focus groups, and collect valuable feedback throughout May. 

  • Presenting your findings – Compile the insights you gather and share them with the university in early June to influence real change!

What We're Looking For: 

  • Strong communication skills – You’ll be engaging with students and staff.
  • Teamwork & collaboration – Work closely with fellow researchers and university staff.
  • Time management – Balance this role with your studies effectively.
  • Peer engagement – Passion for making a difference in the student experience.

You must be currently studying within the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences at Lancaster University.
