Role & Department Overview

The New Phytologist Foundation, which publishes two international journals of Plant Science, will be launching a new website, and are looking for an intern to help with website migration, content checking and testing. 

The New Phytologist Foundation is based at Lancaster University and sits within the Lancaster Environment Centre.

This micro internship is for 30 hours in total (including 4 hours for training) and is aimed at students who may not have had any professional prior work experience and are looking for an opportunity that supports them to develop their employability skills.

Eligibility

GROW Your Future is an opt-in scheme for UK undergraduates and postgraduate taught students who also meet specific Widening Participation criteria, e.g. students who are:

  • first in their family to go to university;
  • in receipt of a Lancaster Bursary;

Pay Rate: £11.44 per hour plus £1.38 holiday pay
Start Date: 2nd December 2024
End Date: 31st January 2025
Location: On the Lancaster University campus
Working Pattern: Flexible, ideally 5-10 hours/week for 3-6 weeks

Job Description

With support from the Hiring Manager, your role will entail: 
 
  • Reviewing website content for migration
  • Content management system input
  • Creating profile pages for journal Editors and staff members

Person Specification

Essential:
