The Employment and Recruitment Service (ERS) has a fantastic opportunity to join their busy team as a temporary Compliance Administrator to support the efficient and compliant running of the Service.
Start Date: ASAP
Duration: 2 months
Rate of pay: £9.56 per hour plus £1.15 per hour holiday pay
Approximate hours per week: 15-20 hours approximately spread across 2-3 days (Monday -Friday) Working hours during the day can be flexible within the hours of 9:30am to 5pm. 
Location: This role can be undertaken on campus or remotely, or a mixture of both. 
The Employment and Recruitment Service recruit for a range of part-time and temporary positions at Lancaster University and within the local community. An essential part of this process is the checking and recording of documentation to prove a new starter has the correct Right to Work evidence before they commence their new role. 
This check is undertaken in-person on the Lancaster University campus and forms part of a 'Welcome to Lancaster University' appointment designed to ensure the new starter has all the information they need before commencing their new role. 
This is therefore a great opportunity for someone customer service focused but with a keen eye for detail!

Job Description

  • Conduct Right to Work appointments for new starters to the Employment & Recruitment Service in person at the Lancaster University campus
  • Ensure an effective, efficient and compliant checking of documentation takes place for the purposes of Right to Work
  • Provide a short induction for new starters at the time of the appointment
  • Undertake post appointment administration  
  • Any other tasks required appropriate to the role

Person Specification

High level of accuracy in complex administrative tasks
  • Experience of working within legal compliance frameworks
  • Experience of delivery high levels  of customer service
  • Experience of maintaining accuracy in record keeping systems
