Are you an aspiring developer? The IT Partnering and Innovation (ITPI) team in ISS are looking for an aspiring developer to support their development on iLancaster and other projects!
 
You'll be working in a fast paced environment on mobile applications and other technologies to improve the student experience. It's also a brilliant opportunity to work remotely whilst studying, which will put you in an incredibly strong position when looking for employment beyond your studies.
 

Start Date: ASAP
End Date: End of June 2022 (may extend beyond this)
Location: On campus
Hours per Week: up to 12

Job Description
  • Supporting a project-based approach to new applications development as part of a team.
  • Involvement in the Agile process to assist in the continual improvement of existing services. 
  • Have responsibility in the testing phase for new and existing applications particularly coordination with the business to monitor their testing.
  • This is a full stack position, and will be mainly focusing on: C# and React Native

Person Specification


Essential

  1. Experience with an OOP language such as JAVA/C#
  2. Ability to work within a team, and under own initiative
  3. Experience of achieving clear goals
  4. Ability to plan, organise and solve complex problems
 

Desirable

One or more of the following 
1. Understanding of SOLID architecture principles
2. 
Design Patterns
3. 
Knowledge of Unit Testing and Test Driven Design

AND

Experience in one or more of the following:
  1. 1. C#
  2. 2. SQL
  3. 3. .Net Web Api / .Net Core
  4. 4. HTML / JS / React Native
