Wyreside Lakes is looking for part-time Bar and Serving Staff to be part of their busy team!  Wyreside Lakes is a family run business, situated in over 120 acres of farmland at the foot of the Bowland Fells in Dolphinholme~Lancashire, about 15 minutes from the Lancaster University campus.
About Wyreside Lakes
On the estate there are 6 fishing lakes - with a superb stocking of coarse and pike and for walkers and those who appreciate nature, the River Wyre meanders through the property alongside the beautiful bluebell laden Fox’s wood.
Over the last 22 years the estate has been transformed by the Birkin family and now not only appeals to fishermen but also to families and couples alike who wish to have a relaxing break in a beautiful setting without having to travel long distances to Britain’s national parks. The estate now boasts a recreational centre with a newly refurbished traditional farmhouse bed and breakfast, Scandinavian lodge self catering facilities, a modern bar, restaurant and function room as well as a 4 star camping and caravanning site. Also in the main building there is a small site camping and tackle shop, laundry room and a modern toilet & shower block.
The role of the Bar and Restaurant is essential in ensuring guests have a great experience while visiting Wyreside Lakes. 
Own transport essential due to rural location of the business.
Start Date: Immediate 
Pay rate: Competitive and dependent on experience.(paid weekly) 
Hours: 16 hours per week approx. (mainly Friday - Sunday) Working hours can fluctuate any time between 8.30am until midnight with option for further hours in the University holidays.

Job Description

  • Mixing and serving beverages using an extensive range of ingredients including
  • Taking beverage orders from customers or wait staff and serving drinks as requested, paying extreme attention to detail.
  • Satisfying customer requests in a timely manner.
  • Assessing customer preferences and making drink recommendations.
  • Providing a positive and friendly guest experience by interacting with customers.
  • Collecting money for drinks served and providing change as needed.
  • Checking identification to verify legal age requirements for all customers.
  • Keeping a well-stocked bar with an adequate supply of liquor, beer, wine, mixers, ice, napkins, straws, glassware, and other accessories.
  • Cleaning the bar, tables, chairs, and work area to maintain a sanitary environment and upholding all the coronavirus cleaning protocols.
  • Organising the bar area to streamline drink preparation and inventory.
  • Taking food orders from the customer and relaying them to the kitchen. Serving food items for customers at the bar.
  • Complying with all food and beverage regulations.
  • Limiting customer problems by restricting alcohol intake and attempting to curtail inappropriate behaviour.
