IGC Engineering Limited has been established for over 20 years. The basis of the business are refurbishing co2 pressure vessels, this requires specialised knowledge within the sector and old school engineering. The company’s main customer avenues are the food and drink sectors, mainly focussing on breweries. IGC work closely with the big gas companies like Praxair, BOC, Air liquid and Air Products. Now in 2020 they supply and install to some of the biggest companies within Europe. An example of this is Heineken, Brewdog and Barr soft drinks.

Job Description

For over 20 years IGC have grown organically via word of mouth and through a good reputation. However, they now feel that the time is right to improve their digital presence via website and different social media channels.

The company require support to showcase new and old projects to potential customers, but also show off previous work when working in partnership with multibillion-pound industries. IGC want customers to enjoy visiting their website & social media channels for updates on new installations, products and general news.

The recruited student/graduate will work with IGC Engineering to support the company within the following areas:
  • Advise and organise Digital Marketing strategy
  • Support company in SEO management
  • Update current website 
  • Help with in bedding pictures, slow motion video, time lapse, fact sheets onto the relevant platform or website
  • Carry out research into existing markets and how to best reach them
Working Pattern: The internship will be a 7-10 week placement = total 140 hours (there is some flexibility within these hours).
Interview Date: Mid/End of October.
Expected Start Date: Beginning of November.

Person Specification

  • An individual studying a business and/or marketing based degree would be beneficial but not essential
  • Creative and innovative with plenty of ideas
  • Experience in social media and digital communication
  • Ambitious, driven, organised and productive
