Simply Precast Accessories Limited are one of the UK's largest suppliers of Precast Construction Accessories. The company was founded in 2010 and has since grown both in terms of market share and product choice. As well as establishing themselves as a preferred supplier for Precast Lifting Systems they are now considered a must go to supplier for Machinery, Formwork, Magnets, Chemicals and Bespoke Mesh and Coil. The company require support to advise on the move into new international markets at a strategic level. Over the last two years they have developed their own intellectual property, technical know-how and production capacity for the lifting systems that they manufacture. They have employed a full-time engineer who is experienced in product specification and managing conformance and quality control requirements. The business is now at the stage where they have all resources and supply chains in place to replicate their success in the United Kingdom within a wider international market yet they lack strategic expertise and time resource to fully explore the exciting opportunities open to the business.

Start date: Mid-end June

End date: August (flexible)

Interview date: Early to mid June, conducted via video interview

Working pattern: 14+ hours per week placement = total 140 hours over 10 weeks (there is some flexibility within these hours). Remote working.

Job Description

  • Analysis of current business functions and company structure
  • The company has third-party distribution centres and in-house software systems for order fulfilment (is this a USP?)
  • Identify strong markets within Europe that the company can target and approach
  • Identify potential partners
  • Conduct a SWOT analysis in terms of conflicts of interests with the companies current European suppliers who already serve their local markets.
  • Analyse the most appropriate strategic location to open a central distribution centre to serve all markets and additional local fulfilment centres If the company decide not to partner with a local agent.
  • Implications for import/export
