Role & Department Overview

Can you help a growing Lancashire business communicate better to homeowners the benefits of an external wall coating that will help to keep homes and buildings dry? ProPERLA UK Ltd is a subsidiary company of Decor8 Northern Ltd., and is an independent, family owned and run, decorative merchants that has been in business in the North West of England for over 35 years.

Over the past 10 years, Properla Ltd has become increasingly passionate about sustainability and providing quality external wall coating solutions for the UK market.  Their ProPERLA brand of coatings aligns with Government policy to reduce carbon emissions, upgrade its housing stock and provide warm, dry and comfortable living conditions. The company has now developed a retail brand of these products to be marketed under the brand name ‘Emperor Paint’ which can be bought online directly from their Blackpool branch.

As part of the marketing around this new brand, Properla Ltd is looking to hire an intern to help understand how to effectively communicate to homeowners the benefits of external wall coatings. It is hoped that a comprehensive summary of recent scientific research linking external wall coatings to a reduction in carbon emissions will provide an evidence base for how they market the new Emperor Paint brand direct to consumers.

This project is part-funded by the European Regional Development Fund to promote Low Carbon Innovation in the region.
