Are you interested in working in retail, commerce, or fashion? Cleverstein is a sustainable footwear start up, which is changing the way women buy, wear, store and dispose of shoes. The company offer elegant recyclable shoes and shoe accessories, which transform their style between formal, casual and evening. The product is designed for women, who travel a lot and who are in dire need of comfortable formal shoes. After a successful launch, Cleverstein are now focusing on growing their B2B activities: offering their product to retailers in the UK and internationally.  
The company is looking for an enthusiastic international student specialising in marketing, who will help the company to progress their relationships with retailers. Ideally, the student will also speak Chinese, Japanese, German or French and will have a degree in Marketing.
Work pattern: 14+ hours per week (140 hours in total over 10 weeks, but flexible) starting end of April
Interview date: beginning of April (to be confirmed closer to the time)

Job Description

Cleverstein are looking for someone to carry out the following tasks:
1. Research retailers most suitable for their product offer.
2. Help to create effective merchandising in stores and online for retailers. 
3. Help to create Autumn/Winter 2020 Offer Package for retailers. 
4. Generate leads: buyers, international distributors, concept pop up curators, and online retailers in the UK, US and in the country most suitable for the student’s language skills. 

Support will be a mixture of working upon own initiative and alongside the company director.

Person Specification

1. Has interest in retail sector and/or fashion industry. 
2. An individual from a marketing and/or business background would be beneficial but not essential
2. Excellent communication skills. 
3. Experience with visuals: photoshop, collages, artistic installations. 
4. The candidate should be result-driven and ambitious. 
5. German/French/Japanese or Chinese languages would be a great asset.
