Role & Department Overview

Slyne Consulting offer services to the agricultural and industrial steel frame industry. Providing a full range of services including project management, building design, planning application management, frame & material procurement, all of which are available at all levels of involvement in any given project.

The company are currently building a web site but have no experience in ad word campaigns or how to optimise their presence on the internet and social media channels. The company feel that with help from a Lancaster University student they will be able to increase their visibility, which will be highly beneficial to their growth plans.
Interviews: TBC
Working pattern: 14+ hours per week, a total of 140 hours over 10 weeks (a degree of flexibility with this)
Approx start date: TBC
Support will be on site at the companies offices located locally in Thurnham.

Job Description

The type of support required includes: 
  • Help to create greater brand awareness
  • Ability to assist with the design and to populate/edit the up and coming website which is being built on Freeola
  • Support the company in their SEO management 
  • Social media marketing
  • Support with Google Keywords
  • Digital and social media marketing plan
  • Email campaigns

Person Specification

  • An individual from a digital marketing & design background would be desirable but not essential.
  • It is essential that the chosen candidate has the ability to edit and implement changes on the up and coming website which is being built on Freeola.
  • Someone who is creative and innovative with plenty of ideas.
  • Experience in social media and digital communication.
  • Ambitious, driven, organised and productive.
  • Excellent communicator.
  • Someone who is fun, highly motivated and a self starter.
  • Confidence to put the brand out there.
