Job Description

Crowberry Consulting is seeking a Legal Executive to support our customers in understanding the legal implications of BREXIT. We provide a product known as a legal register, which lists out all energy, environmental and social laws that can impact on UK business. After 31st January 2020 there is likely to be a lot of change to the local (UK) legislation. We therefore are looking for support to research what the changes are going to be if laws are to be revoked, changed or new ones created and to update our customers legal registers. There is the opportunity to update our current FAQs on items such as waste, pollution, REACH and so on in light of the BREXIT changes into 2020.

We also have a product known as the Ethical Toolkit which will require minor updates in 2020.

There will be opportunity to support our customers directly with the updates to their legal registers. This role will give the intern the opportunity to support our customers face to face and we provide a Level 2 Diploma in Customer Services to help the intern (no cost to the intern). There will also be the opportunity to support us with local North West networking events, for which any travel expenses will be met. Any travel requirements to visit our customers will be met, the intern will accompany the Managing Director on any site visits to our customers.

Person Specification

  • Good ability to search government websites to pick apart the changes to the legislation and good understanding of how this can be applicable to business.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills – due to attending local networking events.
  • A good working knowledge of Excel spreadsheets is required.
  • Ability to work in a small friendly team based in Chorley, Lancashire.
  • An interest in sustainability is desirable as we work mainly on energy, environmental and ethical laws, so an understanding of climate change and global pollution issues would be an advantage but not essential.
